Why did we launch this site? Because as licensed counselors and as adoption professionals for a nonprofit Texas agency, we're tired of hearing about all those birthmoms out there who get trapped in illegal adoption arrangements just because they didn't know their rights, or didn't know how to go about making a good adoption plan. They had no idea that places claiming to be nationwide adoption lawyers weren't even licensed in Texas, nor that the out-of-state adoption centers offering to send money to birthmoms living in Texas might be breaking the law by doing so.
